Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate food items for daily menus and special events while managing production efficiency
- Control daily and weekly inventory levels and maintain awareness of food costs and profitability through proper documentation
- Coordinate production of menu items using build-to sheets to minimize waste and manage supply demands
- Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to all health, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report malfunctions promptly to designated supervisors
- Communicate supply needs and special orders with head cook and other kitchen associates
- Close and sanitize work areas in compliance with health codes and prepare for next-day production
- Uphold all Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party sanitation standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of relevant cooking or culinary experience
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly
- Availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional cooking or kitchen production experience in a restaurant or institutional food service environment.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
