Role & Responsibilities

• Serve and interact with customers in a professional, gracious, warm, and accommodating manner, consistent with Neiman Marcus standards.
• Use thorough knowledge of food, its preparation, and culinary terminology to provide customers with detailed menu information.
• Support smooth bar service through the use of POS and ticket systems.
• Apply thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including technical and service procedures.
• Participate in daily pre-shift meetings.
• Follow established accounting procedures for all transactions, including authorized payment methods, and maintain knowledge of the POS system.
• Clean and maintain the restaurant and workstation, completing assigned pre-shift, post-shift, daily, and weekly duties.
• Perform duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, and highchairs.
• Maintain the highest hygiene standards, including wearing a clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes, and keeping hair and nails clean and professionally styled to avoid food-contamination risks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience serving food and beverages and following proper table-service guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results-driven.
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, including china, glassware, and flatware, as well as food and beverages according to the kitchen ticket and guidebook.
• Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer-service and problem-solving skills.
• A “win together” mentality.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education
