The Restaurant Bartender prepares, serves, and presents beverages to customers in Neiman Marcus restaurants with exceptional professionalism and product knowledge. The role requires expertise in beer, wine, and spirits alongside detailed knowledge of culinary preparation and terminology, complemented by mastery of point-of-sale systems, table service protocols, and the highest standards of hospitality and hygiene.

Role & Responsibilities

• Serves and interacts with customers in a professional and gracious manner consistent with Neiman Marcus standards
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of food, beverage, beer, wine, and spirits to provide detailed menu information and recommendations
• Utilizes POS and ticket systems to support efficient bar and restaurant operations
• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of order of service and proper table settings, food placement, and service protocols
• Conducts cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of restaurant and bar workstations, including pre-shift, post-shift, and assigned daily and weekly duties
• Participates in daily pre-shift meetings and adherence to accounting procedures for all transactions and payment methods
• Executes physical duties including lifting objects up to 35 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, and climbing stairs
• Maintains exceptional personal hygiene, professional appearance, and uniform standards to meet Neiman Marcus expectations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Proven experience in food and beverage service with thorough understanding of table service guidelines
• In-depth knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits including technical and service procedures
• Thorough knowledge of culinary terminology and food preparation methods
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple duties simultaneously, and adapt to shifting priorities
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated ability to interact graciously with diverse clientele and handle objections professionally

Experience in serving food and beverage in a professional restaurant or hospitality environment, with demonstrated proficiency in proper table service guidelines and order of service protocols.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 22.03 to USD 27.54 per hour.
