Role & Responsibilities
- Serve and engage with customers in a professional, gracious, warm, and accommodating manner consistent with Neiman Marcus standards.
- Use detailed knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology to explain menu items to customers.
- Support smooth bar service using POS and ticket systems.
- Apply thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including technical and service procedures.
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings.
- Follow established accounting procedures for all transactions, including authorized payment methods, and maintain knowledge of the POS system.
- Clean and maintain the restaurant and workstation, including assigned pre-shift, post-shift, daily, and weekly duties.
- Perform duties that may involve lifting tables, chairs, highchairs, and other objects.
- Maintain high hygiene standards, including a clean, pressed uniform and clothing and shoes, as well as clean, professionally styled hair and nails maintained to avoid food-contamination risks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience serving food and beverages and following proper table-service guidelines.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Motivated and results-driven.
- Thorough knowledge of service sequence and proper placement of table settings, including china, glassware, and flatware, as well as food and beverages as indicated by the kitchen ticket and guidebook.
- Thorough knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology.
- Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
- Exceptional customer-service and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds.
