The Merchandise Operations Associate supports daily store operations through merchandise handling, order fulfillment, inventory control, stockroom organization, sale-event setup, and customer activations at a Neiman Marcus store in Charlotte. This is a part-time role requiring a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; starting pay varies by location, experience, and other job-related factors within the listed range of $17.05–$21.32.
Role & Responsibilities
- Complete daily store operations and support leads and managers.
- Handle merchandise, transfers, and inbound and outbound freight.
- Fulfill, pack, and ship online and in-store customer orders.
- Place merchandise to ensure merchandise standards are followed.
- Implement merchandise price changes and reticketing; sign and move products once marked.
- Reticket merchandise, process damages and mark-outs of out-of-stocks, and complete related inventory control processes.
- Back-stock merchandise and organize and maintain the stockroom.
- Under the guidance of managers and Visual, merchandise products and set up sale events and signage in accordance with standards.
- Support the setup and takedown of in-store events and activations.
- Follow safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Flexibility in managing competing tasks and a “win together” mentality.
- Basic proficiency with the MS Office Product Suite.
- Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
