The Jewelry Operations Associate supports all operational functions of the Jewelry Department at Neiman Marcus, a leading luxury retailer. This role encompasses receiving and booking merchandise, processing returns and transfers, maintaining repair logs, coordinating trunk shows, conducting inventory management, and assisting the selling floor as needed. The position reports to the Jewelry Selling Manager and requires proficiency with internal systems and jewelry standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and book all jewelry in accordance with company standards, including photocopying fine jewelry and reconciling PO issues with the buying office
- Enter all merchandise into the case count system upon receipt and ensure case counts are completed with all discrepancies reconciled
- Retrieve and process merchandise for returns to vendor or internal transfers, properly packing items and obtaining tracking numbers for all outbound shipments
- Maintain a repair log, check merchandise in and out, and track all repairs sent to vendors or local shops
- Submit repair invoices with proper documentation to Accounts Payable
- Receive and verify merchandise for trunk shows, checking pieces and condition against manifest lists
- Assist in trunk show set-up and take-down, compile results, and recap trunk show business
- Reticket all merchandise without tickets, including returns or items with non-readable tags
- Prepare special order requests and submit to buyers
- Assist the Selling Manager and sales associates on the selling floor as needed
- Maintain departmental inventory of supplies and support store initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to quickly learn systems, jewelry standards, and IT applications
- Strong organizational and attention to detail

Experience
Equivalent professional experience in luxury retail operations, jewelry handling, or inventory management; familiarity with fine jewelry terminology and standards preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in retail operations or related field.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.05 to USD 21.32 per hour.
