Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers professionally while maintaining presence at the host stand or entrance.
- Manage reservations and guest inquiries using the OpenTable platform, including VIP bookings and event-related requests.
- Optimize seating and table turnover to maximize capacity and streamline service flow across wait stations.
- Monitor server performance and coordinate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Operate point‑of‑sale (POS) and follow established accounting procedures for guest transactions and accepted payment methods.
- Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and handle reservation or scheduling inquiries.
- Participate in pre‑shift meetings and follow published schedules and shift‑change procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of menus and service areas; adhere to high hygiene and uniform standards.
