Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly preventive maintenance on all building equipment and envelopes, including daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspection logging
- Inspect and maintain facility equipment such as vertical transportation systems, boilers, generators, and HVAC units
- Order maintenance supplies and assist Regional Manager in managing maintenance expense accounts
- Support Regional Manager with execution of capital planning projects
- Maintain and coordinate building energy management systems, including lighting systems, through Trane Ensemble Software
- Provide support to Point of Sale (POS) and telephone systems as needed
- Support kitchen equipment maintenance when required
- Respond to after-hours and emergency service calls with flexible availability
- Manage limited availability between Black Friday and January 8 during peak retail periods
Qualifications
- Degree from vocational school or college with focus in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
- Two to five years of experience, or four years of apprenticeship, in Mechanical or Electrical trades
- Demonstrated background in building maintenance, electrical systems, and HVAC
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) information and compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly with frequent bending, lifting, and reaching below waist and above head
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights
Skills
Experience
Two to five years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical facility maintenance, or equivalent four-year apprenticeship in trades; demonstrated competency in troubleshooting and maintaining complex building systems within commercial environments.
Education
Degree or certification from an accredited vocational school or college with specialization in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or related building systems disciplines.
