Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish, trash, and floor areas to meet Neiman Marcus and local health department standards.
- Operate and maintain the dish machine, including monitoring chemical levels and using chemical testers; report malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef.
- Wash and sanitize pots, pans, dishes, flatware and glassware at an appropriate pace while exercising care with breakables.
- Use and stock sanitizing materials and cleaning solutions; keep chemical testers on hand and follow sanitization protocols.
- Empty and manage trash receptacles; keep floors free of spills, grease, and debris.
- Assist with food preparation support and additional kitchen cleaning tasks as required.
- Maintain professional working relationships with line cooks, chefs and front-of-house staff and uphold third-party sanitation audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs and lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-oriented environment ('win together' mentality).
- Motivated, results-driven, and attentive to detail with strong sanitary practices.
- Adherence to health, safety and sanitation regulations as directed by Neiman Marcus and local authorities.
