Role & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain commercial dish machine and related equipment, including monitoring chemical levels and reporting malfunctions to management.
- Wash, sanitize and organize pots, pans, dishes, flatware and glassware to the company’s health and kitchen standards.
- Maintain dish, trash and floor areas clean, safe and orderly; remove trash and manage waste as required.
- Use appropriate sanitizing materials and chemical testers; uphold local health department and third-party sanitation auditor standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation and additional kitchen cleaning tasks as required.
- Work collaboratively and maintain professional relations with line cooks, chefs and front-of-house staff.
Qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Physical capability to stand, bend, climb stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Availability for shifts that include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Motivated, results-driven attitude with a collaborative 'win together' mentality.
- Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation practices and safe handling of breakables.

Experience
Entry-level role; previous experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel or retail dining operation preferred but not required. On-the-job training is provided.
