Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee all store support departments and provide leadership to management and associates to facilitate the selling process
- Ensure high-performance results on operational metrics including Return To Vendor (RTV), Transfer execution, Credit acquisition, Fulfillment results, and Operating expense
- Manage the store Profit and Loss (P&L) and ensure Store Controllable Expense aligns with business trends to maximize profitability
- Execute accounting tasks including bill paying, invoice processing, and Corporate Credit Card reconciliation
- Ensure merchandise receipt, processing, and floor merchandising occur on day of receipt before store opening while maintaining organized back-of-house areas
- Control staffing levels and payroll expense based on business trends; manage scheduling system and ensure appropriate executive coverage for the selling floor
- Maintain environmental aspects of the customer experience including music, cleanliness, and building temperature
- Partner with the Facilities Coordinator to oversee store maintenance, repairs, construction, renovation, and capital projects
- Build and manage budget guidelines to minimize operating expenses and maximize revenue
- Serve as liaison with Corporate I.T. partners to ensure all technology and equipment functions as designed
- Provide HR guidance to managers on associate relations, performance management, and investigations in collaboration with Corporate SFA Associate Relations Team
- Ensure all components of the SFA HR Audit are maintained at standard
- Oversee accurate People Data through Weekly Roster Maintenance reviews
- Ensure timely completion of staffing, payroll, and Paid Time Off (PTO) requests through scheduling and tracking systems
- Manage Workers Compensation Claims and Return to Work accommodations in partnership with the Asset Protection Manager
- Oversee Leave of Absence administration, including personal and protected leaves
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in retail in positions of increasing responsibility and volume
- Expertise in expense management, profit and shortage control, and basic accounting principles
- Proficiency with Google Workspace programs and retail technology systems
