Neiman Marcus is hiring a Cross-Category Ecommerce Manager to lead global site merchandising, promotional strategy, site discovery, and conversion optimization while managing two digital specialists. The role is full-time and offers an annual salary range of $75,000–$126,000, varying by geographic location and experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and implement a global site merchandising strategy aligned with business goals, category strategies, and marketing initiatives to maximize online sales, conversion rates, and average order value; lead global site turnover initiatives.
- Directly manage, mentor, and develop two digital specialists; establish workflows, delegate tasks, and guide daily execution of site strategies and promotional plans.
- Develop end-to-end promotional content and navigation strategies across devices, partnering with Creative and Marketing on site placements, product tagging, and navigation; lead quarterly reviews to refine promotional placements, creative content, and the sale-site experience.
- Audit live-site search, product listing page (PLP) performance, and navigation across devices to identify friction and critical issues; partner with Product to route fixes, advocate for enhancements, and influence the site experience.
- Manage and optimize the end-to-end digital conversion funnel by analyzing customer drop-off from landing through checkout and championing A/B testing and UX enhancements to improve discovery, recommendation relevance, and checkout conversion.
- Collaborate with ecommerce and technology teams on website enhancements and features that improve the online shopping experience and support merchandising goals.
- Implement and optimize product recommendation engines to personalize the shopping experience and drive cross-selling and up-selling.
- Use website analytics platforms and performance data to evaluate site health, promotional performance, and discovery effectiveness; present findings and strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Regularly communicate site merchandising performance, key findings, and recommendations to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Research ecommerce trends, site merchandising techniques, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of experience in ecommerce, site merchandising, or digital business management.
- Proven success developing and executing site merchandising strategies that improve online sales and key performance indicators.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Deep understanding of ecommerce best practices, user experience principles, and online customer behavior.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides).
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of SEO principles related to product presentation and discoverability is a plus.
- Experience with website analytics tools, including Adobe Analytics, and reporting platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, including Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and their merchandising functionalities is preferred.
- Experience with personalization and recommendation engines is preferred.
