Neiman Marcus seeks a Beauty Advisor in Newport Beach, CA. Full-time, hourly $15.00–$23.10; cosmetics consultations and clienteling expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary, personalised customer service from approach through application to sale and follow-up, acting as the in-store brand expert.
- Achieve and exceed individual, vendor line and event sales targets through consultative selling and relationship development.
- Deliver professional make-up and treatment consultations and applications tailored to client needs and product lines (Chantecaille and others).
- Develop and maintain a proprietary client book using Saks Fifth Avenue’s online clienteling resource tool to record preferences, appointments and follow-ups.
- Plan and execute pre-booked facial consultation events and in-store training programs in coordination with the Cosmetics Selling Manager and vendor partners.
- Maintain pristine counter standards — ensure the selling area is clean, well-merchandised and stocked to brand presentation guidelines.
- Act as liaison to designated Account Executives and vendor partners, representing the department at events and driving vendor line performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year retail experience, preferably within a cosmetics or beauty-focused environment.
- Proven sales track record with history of meeting or exceeding quota.
- Demonstrated ability to perform professional make-up and skincare consultations and applications.
- Comfortable using online clienteling tools and proprietary CRM systems to drive business.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while exercising initiative and strong organizational judgement.
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of customer-focused retail experience, ideally in cosmetics or beauty, with a demonstrable record of exceeding sales targets and executing client consultations and events.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; cosmetology, beauty or makeup certification is a plus.

The successful candidate will be located in Newport Beach, California, USA, with easy access to Los Angeles.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 23.10 per hour.
