Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, high‑touch customer service across approach, application, close and follow‑up; model Saks Fifth Avenue Principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend, Thank).
- Drive individual, vendor‑line, event and departmental sales goals through proactive selling, pre‑booked facial consultations and event participation.
- Build and maintain client relationships as the brand and counter expert; establish new Saks Fifth Avenue accounts and retain existing clients.
- Utilize Saks Fifth Avenue’s online clienteling system to record client data, preferences and follow‑up actions to grow personal business.
- Perform professional make‑up and treatment consultations and applications; close retail sales and ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain counter presentation and merchandising standards to ensure a tidy, welcoming and brand‑accurate selling environment.
- Collaborate effectively with the Cosmetics Selling Manager, Account Executive and wider team; participate in in‑house training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of retail experience; cosmetics/counter experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of sales performance with history of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Professional competence in make‑up application and facial/treatment consultations.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable using proprietary clienteling tools and store software; strong organizational and business judgment.
Skills
Experience
At least one year of retail experience, preferably in cosmetics or a customer‑facing beauty environment, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; professional cosmetic, makeup or esthetics certification preferred.
