Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate production of daily menu items and special-event dishes to ensure consistent quality and timely service.
- Manage daily and weekly inventory; complete production, build-to and order sheets to control waste and food costs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to Neiman Marcus standards, local health department rules, and third-party sanitation audits.
- Monitor equipment condition, perform routine daily maintenance, and report malfunctions to the designated associate.
- Communicate supply needs and special orders with head cook or supervisor to ensure uninterrupted kitchen flow.
- Close and sanitize work area per health codes and prepare items required for the next day’s production.
- Support team coordination to maintain the flow of food orders and verify special orders with designated associates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary or cook experience in a restaurant or retail food environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices and local health code requirements.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, climb stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset aligned with a 'win together' culture.

Experience
At least 3 years of relevant cook or culinary experience in a restaurant, catering, or retail foodservice environment, with demonstrated ability to manage production, control costs, and uphold sanitation standards.
