Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate food items for daily menus and special events, ensuring consistency, quality and timely delivery to service stations.
- Manage daily and weekly inventory counts; communicate supply needs and discrepancies to supervisory staff.
- Use production and build‑to sheets to plan production, control waste and safeguard menu profitability.
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work area in accordance with company, local health department and third‑party sanitation auditor standards.
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on kitchen equipment; report malfunctions to designated personnel.
- Verify and fulfil special orders, support flow of food orders through prompt communication with front‑of‑house and kitchen team.
- Close and sanitize workstations, prepare mise en place and gather items required for the next day’s production.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary experience in a restaurant, café or retail‑restaurant environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Demonstrates a collaborative, 'win together' mindset and attention to food quality and cost control.
- Food safety or food handler certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.
