Role & Responsibilities

  • Produce and coordinate food items for daily menus and special events, ensuring consistency, quality and timely delivery to service stations.
  • Manage daily and weekly inventory counts; communicate supply needs and discrepancies to supervisory staff.
  • Use production and build‑to sheets to plan production, control waste and safeguard menu profitability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work area in accordance with company, local health department and third‑party sanitation auditor standards.
  • Operate and perform basic maintenance on kitchen equipment; report malfunctions to designated personnel.
  • Verify and fulfil special orders, support flow of food orders through prompt communication with front‑of‑house and kitchen team.
  • Close and sanitize workstations, prepare mise en place and gather items required for the next day’s production.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary experience in a restaurant, café or retail‑restaurant environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative, 'win together' mindset and attention to food quality and cost control.
  • Food safety or food handler certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.
