Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category and pre-season planning strategy in collaboration with merchandise planners, leveraging past performance and trend insights
  • Build customer-centered assortment framework and allocation strategies based on customer insights, trend analysis, and fashion intelligence
  • Set product display and flow strategies aligned with planning guardrails and marketing initiatives

  • Provide mentorship and hands-on training to Associate Buyers, Assistant Buyers, and Coordinators
  • Attend monthly OTB meetings, present bottoms-up business context, and escalate opportunities and risks to leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience
  • 5+ years of buying office experience with strong understanding of buying operations and retail strategy
  • Proven business acumen with strong financial, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities
  • Expertise in retail mathematics including markup, margin planning, OTB, WOS, turnover, GMROI, and assortment planning
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong vendor and internal relationship management abilities
  • Strategic thinking with agility to adapt to changing business needs
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
