Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, brand-led customer service across approach, application, closing and follow-up, modelling Neiman Marcus principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend, Thank).
- Achieve and exceed individual, vendor line, event and department sales goals through proactive selling and client development.
- Conduct professional make-up and treatment consultations and product applications tailored to client needs.
- Utilize the Neiman Marcus clienteling system and online clienteling resource tool to capture client preferences, book consultations and drive repeat business.
- Maintain counter standards: ensure a clean, well-merchandised, inviting selling area and support pre-booked facial consultation events and in‑house training programs.
- Act as a liaison with brand Account Executives to represent product lines and coordinate promotional activity.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of retail experience, preferably within a cosmetics or beauty-focused environment.
- Proven sales track record with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed quotas.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Professional competency in make-up consultation and application techniques.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn proprietary clienteling tools and in-store retail systems.
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of retail experience, ideally within cosmetics or beauty; demonstrated sales performance and experience executing consultations, events or booked services.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetics or beauty certification preferred.
