Neiman Marcus seeks a Seasonal Bartender to provide polished restaurant and bar service, share detailed food and beverage knowledge, support bar operations, process transactions, and maintain restaurant hygiene and cleanliness. The role requires flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays and the ability to lift and carry 35 pounds; the hourly rate is $17.

Role & Responsibilities

• Serve and interact with customers in a professional, gracious, warm, and accommodating manner consistent with Neiman Marcus standards.
• Use thorough knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology to provide customers with detailed information about menu items.
• Support smooth staff delivery of bar items through POS and ticket systems.
• Apply thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including technical and service procedures.
• Participate in daily pre-shift meetings.
• Follow established accounting procedures for all transactions, accept authorized payment methods, and maintain knowledge of the POS system.
• Clean and maintain the restaurant and workstation, completing assigned pre-shift, post-shift, daily, and weekly duties.
• Perform duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, and highchairs.
• Maintain the highest hygiene standards, including wearing a clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes, and keeping hair and nails clean and professionally styled to avoid food-contamination risks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience serving food and beverages and following proper table-service guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results-driven.
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, including china, glassware, and flatware, as well as food and beverages indicated by the kitchen ticket and guidebook.
• Thorough knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer-service and problem-solving skills.
• A “win together” mentality.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The base compensation for this position is USD 17 per hour.
