Neiman Marcus (Dallas) seeks an Assistant Asset Protection Manager to lead inventory protection and loss-prevention initiatives. Full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own inventory shortage performance and execute the store-level asset protection strategy to minimise shrink and operational loss.
- Monitor daily and monthly inventory reports and audit results; direct Asset Protection Investigators in follow-up and remediation.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external theft investigations, ensuring compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Provide final oversight of audit execution and maintain ongoing audit readiness across store operations.
- Communicate shortage trends, risks and mitigation plans to Store Leadership, department managers and frontline associates.
- Partner with sales support and operational teams to ensure shortage-control processes and loss-prevention procedures are consistently applied.
- Coach and develop asset protection staff; deliver training on investigative techniques, systems and company policy.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce exposure and optimise inventory integrity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- Valid security license or certification as required by local/state jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of retail asset protection or loss-prevention experience, preferably in a high-volume or multi-brand luxury retail environment.
- Wicklander-Zulawski Interview Certification preferred.
- Proven leadership with strong organisational, interpersonal and public-speaking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify shortage exposures and design creative, data-driven remediation strategies.

Experience
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in retail asset protection or loss prevention, with a track record of managing investigations, directing shrink-reduction programs and partnering with store leadership in a large-volume retail environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 56,060 to USD 70,075 per annum.
