Role & Responsibilities

  • Report to the Asset Protection Manager or Assistant General Manager — Operations and execute the store-level asset protection strategy.
  • Monitor shortage results and implement shortage-control measures across merchandise categories.
  • Conduct investigations into internal and external theft, coordinate apprehensions and maintain incident documentation.
  • Oversee daily and monthly physical-inventory reporting and audit cycles to preserve inventory integrity.
  • Organize and lead the annual store inventory process, ensuring accuracy and procedural compliance.
  • Design and deliver training for store associates on asset protection procedures, safety and theft awareness.
  • Develop paperwork controls, shortage-awareness programs and merchandise-specific loss-prevention strategies.
  • Perform ad hoc duties related to store safety, security and loss-prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of asset protection or loss-prevention experience in a large-volume retail environment.
  • Wicklander‑Zulawski Certification (required).
  • Certification where required by local jurisdiction (e.g., security or firearms licensing) as applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven ability to conduct investigations, compile accurate reports and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary.
