Role & Responsibilities
- Own store inventory-shortage performance and execute the Asset Protection strategy.
- Maintain a safe selling environment and protect company assets through shortage control, investigations, audits, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Partner with Store Leadership, Investigators, and cross-functional teams to build awareness, accountability, and results.
- Facilitate store-wide communications, training, safety sessions, and shortage-awareness initiatives.
- Model and reinforce Exemplar Luxury Group customer-experience expectations within Asset Protection operations.
- Identify internal and external theft exposures and implement proactive loss-reduction strategies.
- Recommend action plans and drive continuous improvement.
- Plan, execute, and document audits; ensure readiness for internal audits.
- Review audit findings, summarize results, and drive corrective actions with Store Leadership.
- Lead annual physical inventory planning and execution, including reconciliation.
- Maintain physical-security standards and promptly address issues.
- Oversee camera-system functionality and enhancements.
- Ensure investigations comply with apprehension guidelines and applicable laws.
- Partner with Investigators to prepare cases for interviews and resolution.
- Directly oversee and guide Asset Protection Investigators, providing daily leadership and direction.
- Ensure completion of required training, certifications, and ongoing technical development.
- Provide performance feedback and support mid-year and annual review processes.
- Coach Investigators to strengthen investigative skills, decision-making, and professionalism.
- Undertake additional duties as required; responsibilities may evolve with business needs or direction from Corporate Asset Protection.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of retail Asset Protection experience, preferably in a high-volume luxury retail or complex environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence interacting with store leadership and presenting to large groups.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with retail security systems, reporting platforms, and productivity software.
- Experience leading diverse teams to achieve operational, statistical, and developmental goals.
