Neiman Marcus in San Antonio, TX is hiring an Asset Protection Investigator to conduct loss prevention investigations and protect store assets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe retail environment for customers, employees and store assets through proactive presence and risk mitigation
- Conduct monitoring and surveillance to identify indicators of internal and external theft, fraud or suspicious activity
- Lead and execute internal and external investigations, including evidence gathering, interviews and case documentation
- Prepare comprehensive reports for theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audits
- Participate in inventory audits and loss control initiatives to reduce shrink and improve stock integrity
- Support store operations and partner with store leadership to implement loss prevention trainings and programs
- Assess and assist with emergency situations, escalating to management as appropriate
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of loss prevention/asset protection experience
- Demonstrated investigative ability and conflict management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with accurate incident documentation
- Customer-focused mindset with professional approach to guest interactions
- Basic proficiency with computer software for reporting and case management
- Ability to respond calmly and adapt to changing priorities or unexpected situations
Skills
Experience
At least 1 year of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, retail security, or a related investigative role; retail experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or GED required; postsecondary coursework or relevant certifications in security, investigations, or criminal justice preferred.
