Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety of customers, employees and store premises through proactive patrols and visible presence
- Conduct monitoring and surveillance to detect signs of internal and external theft, fraud or suspicious activity
- Perform external and internal investigations, documenting incidents thoroughly and preserving evidence
- Prepare and submit incident reports for theft, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audits
- Support inventory control efforts through audits, training and loss-reduction initiatives
- Assist with emergency response and assess evolving safety situations
- Collaborate with store operations and participate in store programs to protect people, product and profit
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection or retail security
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance service and security needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with accurate report writing
- Investigative aptitude and conflict management capability
- Basic computer proficiency for incident reporting and record keeping
- Demonstrated adaptability and ability to respond to changing direction or unexpected situations

Experience
At least one year of prior experience in loss prevention, asset protection or a related retail security role, including conducting investigations and using surveillance techniques.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in loss prevention, security or a related field preferred.
