NARS is hiring Makeup Artists in Eindhoven, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht on schedules of 24–32 hours, depending on the location. The role delivers personalized makeup services and recommendations, achieves sales targets, builds customer relationships, and represents NARS at counters, events and on social media. It also includes counter upkeep, stock management, visual merchandising, sales reporting, and flexible weekend and late-shift work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Sell NARS products by applying makeup as part of a service and providing personalized recommendations using product knowledge.
- Achieve sales targets and daily sales objectives; report daily sales and maintain the counter and products, manage stock, and execute visual merchandising.
- Apply the NARS GREAT Experience Service to every customer and deliver counter services.
- Book appointments and masterclasses, and engage passing traffic.
- Represent NARS Style on the shop floor and at events; act as a brand ambassador at counters and on social media.
- Work weekends and late shifts, remain flexible with schedules, and follow company protocols set by the Counter Manager and Retail & Education Manager.
- Welcome and serve customers, build positive customer relationships, and support brand loyalty.
- Report and calculate remaining sales needed to achieve targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Qualifications
- Completed education and qualifications in makeup artistry.
- Commercially minded and results-oriented, with the ability to advise and assist national and international customers.
- Creative, able to identify opportunities and translate them into plans and execution.
- Excellent social and communication skills; commercial, presentable, and self-reliant.
- Able to communicate knowledge clearly.
- Highly organized and structured.
- Flexible availability for 24–32 hours, depending on location.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively by email, telephone, verbally, and non-verbally, including listening and giving and receiving feedback and instructions.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and proactive in sales; able to achieve daily tasks and sales goals.
- Able to work effectively and harmoniously in a team, treating colleagues with respect and contributing creativity and passion toward shared goals.
- Strong work ethic and flexibility in a constantly changing retail environment, including working weekends, respecting schedules, considering events, and requesting time off promptly.
