NARS seeks a Makeup Artist for an apprenticeship based in Bordeaux, covering approximately 15 Sephora stores. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the role combines makeup sales and customer loyalty with retail-team training, merchandising, event execution, stock monitoring and sales reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent NARS to consumers in accordance with the brand’s codes and image.
- Address customer needs through personalized advice and makeup applications.
- Recruit new consumers and build customer loyalty.
- Train retail teams on the brand’s universe, collections and product launches, following cycles set by management.
- Use and explain training materials, including product sheets and demonstration products, to retail teams.
- Motivate retail teams to engage them in achieving objectives.
- Occasionally train and manage temporary staff and interns in stores.
- Hold regular business reviews with store management.
- Implement merchandising tools at each cycle.
- Maintain fixtures and testers, and follow headquarters’ merchandising guidelines.
- Set up and monitor promotional events.
- Monitor store stock and inform headquarters when necessary.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, travel, tester orders, expense reports and ad hoc studies.
- Regularly report quantitative and qualitative information to headquarters, including monthly reports, sales figures, competitor monitoring and merchandising updates.
- Analyze store results and propose initiatives to achieve objectives.
Qualifications
- Currently studying for a CAP or BTS in sales, aesthetics/cosmetics, or undertaking a course at a makeup school.
- Proficiency in makeup, skincare and application techniques.
- Commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience and immersing clients in the brand’s universe.
- Passion for sales and customer contact; autonomy, dynamism and excellent commercial acumen.
- Comfortable using computer tools, including Word and Excel.
