Moynat is seeking a Materials Development Assistant Intern in Paris to support its Development team, particularly leather materials and metal components, through supplier exchanges during development and industrialization. The intern will help establish processes that improve development efficiency as the house grows and structures its operations; this is a full-time internship.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of leather materials and metal components in collaboration with the materials developer.
- Launch and track leather color development projects.
- Launch and track metal component projects.
- Assist the developer with sourcing new techniques and materials in response to design requests.
- Establish development processes to optimize development timelines and track costs.
- Update the metal component library.
- Monitor materials, including quality testing during new developments; verify conformity upon receipt and relay information to production sites.
- Review industrial techniques for metal components to optimize costs.
- Develop counter-samples of metal components to establish dual sourcing.
Qualifications
- Final-year internship at an engineering school, such as ITECH, specializing in leather.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Fluent English; Italian is a plus.
