Moynat seeks experienced Leather Craftsperson for Aubervilliers atelier in Paris. Full-time permanent position in luxury leather goods manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute manual cutting of leather components to specification
  • Perform preparation operations including edge work, refenting, coloration, and rebording
  • Assemble leather goods using both flat and dimensional techniques and machinery
  • Execute hand stitching operations according to maison standards
  • Perform finishing and polishing operations to achieve premium finish quality
  • Conduct repairs and after-sales service work when required
  • Work with exotic materials and specialty leather as required

Qualifications

  • Ideally trained through an artisanal leather goods program or apprenticeship
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a leather goods atelier or production environment
  • Proficiency with all standard leather goods machinery
  • Demonstrated expertise in hand stitching and finishing techniques
  • Experience with exotic materials and specialty leather assemblage

Experience
