Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor customs regulations and define necessary compliance measures across international shipments
- Implement new free trade agreements and ensure organizational adherence to updated trade protocols
- Support internal and external audits; facilitate certifications such as AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) and related trade simplifications
- Develop, review, and refine standard operating procedures related to trade compliance and customs
- Serve as primary point of contact for trade compliance inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders including customs authorities and logistics partners
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Completed degree in relevant field or equivalent professional experience in a comparable compliance or customs role
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in customs and trade compliance
- Comprehensive understanding of international business processes and their regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Demonstrated assertiveness and excellent stakeholder communication skills

Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in customs, trade compliance, or related regulatory roles within international supply chain environments. Prior exposure to trade simplification programs, customs audits, or free trade agreement implementation is advantageous.
Education
Successfully completed university degree in law, business administration, international trade, customs science, or equivalent professional qualification; equivalent professional experience in customs or compliance roles is acceptable in lieu of formal education.
