Montblanc in New York seeks a Sales Manager to lead boutique sales, develop staff and drive client relationships at the flagship store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the boutique sales team to achieve and exceed sales KPIs, conversion and average transaction value targets.
- Develop and coach sales advisors through daily briefings, role‑plays and one‑to‑one coaching to elevate client service and product knowledge.
- Manage boutique operations including staff scheduling, visual merchandising standards, inventory control and loss prevention procedures.
- Drive clienteling activities and nurture high-value relationships through personalized service, follow-ups and events.
- Analyse sales performance and market trends; prepare regular reports and action plans for regional leadership.
- Recruit, onboard and develop retail talent in line with brand standards and local employment regulations.
- Ensure exemplary presentation of the boutique and strict adherence to Montblanc visual merchandising and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with regional management, wholesale and marketing teams on local sales initiatives and product launches.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in luxury retail sales with progressive responsibility in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and manage budgets.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills, including coaching, development and performance management.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a client-centric mindset appropriate to high-end luxury clientele.
- Fluent English and the ability to communicate professionally with international clients and internal stakeholders (additional languages advantageous).
- Flexible availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Experience
Minimum three years of retail experience with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial position within luxury or premium retail environments; demonstrable success in driving boutique sales and developing teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience in retail management, business or a related field.
