Montblanc Retail Operations Manager role in Singapore. Lead boutique operations across Southeast Asia, driving excellence and commercial success.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage operational performance and partner with Boutique Managers to deliver operational excellence and commercial objectives
- Develop, implement and maintain effective operational policies and practices in line with headquarters guidelines from the Boutique Excellence Portal
- Rollout headquarters projects locally (e.g. Retail Signature, traffic analysis, uniform standards) and communicate implementation to all teams
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Performance, CRM, Training, Finance, Compliance and HR to optimize boutique efficiency and achieve productivity targets
- Review boutique team rosters to ensure adequate staffing aligned with traffic footfall and clienteling objectives
- Manage boutique facility housekeeping, maintenance, and daily supply/general expenses, including SAP transactions (POs, vendor creation, payment follow-up)
- Identify and resolve ad-hoc retail operational issues with decisive judgment to support retail performance
- Lead all new store openings, closures, refurbishments and relocations in the region; coordinate projects across departments
- Advise Brand Director on local store projects, optimizing back-of-house and front-of-house layouts for retail efficiency
- Coordinate training and deliver compliance reports to Richemont Regional Risk Forum on HR, security, audit and finance matters
- Ensure professional customer experience standards at all boutiques and oversee VIP appointment rooms
- Assist boutique teams with customer complaint resolution to strengthen long-term client relationships
- Analyse client feedback on operational matters and define action plans in collaboration with Retail Performance and Training Managers
- Support retail activations and marketing initiatives, coordinating event logistics across office and boutique teams
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in retail operations management within luxury goods or premium retail environments
- Proven track record managing multiple boutiques or retail locations
- Strong knowledge of retail operational excellence frameworks and best practices
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems
- Proficiency in boutique roster and staffing management
- Project management expertise with store openings, relocations or refurbishments
- Understanding of luxury brand compliance and corporate governance standards

Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive retail operations experience in luxury goods, watches, jewellery, or premium retail sectors. Prior experience managing regional boutique networks and coordinating cross-functional projects is essential. Demonstrated success in implementing operational initiatives aligned with global brand standards and headquarters directives.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations Management, or related discipline. Professional certification in project management or retail operations is preferred.
