Montblanc — Production Controller in Scandicci: oversee production planning, inventory control and manufacturing schedules for luxury goods.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own the production planning cycle: create and maintain the master production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods.
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, quality and logistics to translate demand forecasts into feasible production plans and schedules.
- Manage inventory levels, monitor stock turns and drive actions to optimise WIP and finished-goods inventory across sites.
- Analyse capacity and constraints; propose and implement schedule adjustments and bottleneck mitigation measures.
- Produce timely KPI reports (OTD, backlog, inventory, capacity utilisation) and present actionable insights to operations and commercial stakeholders.
- Run daily/weekly production follow-ups and expedite critical orders to respect customer lead times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, process standardisation) to raise productivity and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate production records in ERP/MRP systems and ensure data integrity for forecasting and materials planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, operations management, business administration or equivalent.
- Proven analytical capability with strong numerical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing demands and drive decisions under tight deadlines.
- Professional certification in production or supply chain (e.g., APICS/CPIM) is desirable.

Experience
Typically 3–5 years in production planning, materials management or operations control within a manufacturing environment; prior exposure to premium or regulated-product supply chains is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, operations or a related discipline.
