Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, high-touch client service to cultivate long-term relationships and drive repeat business.
- Execute store opening and closing procedures, including securing keys, cash handling and system reconciliation.
- Support the Store Manager with daily retail operations, staff supervision and shift coordination.
- Maintain the brand's visual merchandising and product presentation standards across the sales floor.
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, process transactions, returns and manage receipts.
- Assist with inventory management: stock replenishment, receiving deliveries and executing cycle counts.
- Enforce loss-prevention protocols and ensure compliance with luxury retail security procedures.
- Coach and mentor sales colleagues on product knowledge, selling techniques and clienteling best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience, preferably within luxury goods (writing instruments, leather, watches or accessories).
- Demonstrable ability to assume responsibility for store opening/closing and cash accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centred sales approach.
- Reliable, trustworthy and able to handle confidential duties (key custody, cash reconciliation).
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and peak holiday periods.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2+ years of retail experience, with preference for prior work in luxury or premium brands; experience supervising shifts or acting in a lead capacity is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in retail, hospitality or business is advantageous but not required.
