Montblanc seeks a Key Holder in Chicago to achieve individual sales objectives, develop clientele, deliver outstanding service, and support boutique operations, including opening and closing, loss prevention, and transfers in management’s absence. The role requires English and Spanish fluency, open availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to stand on the sales floor for 90% of the workday. Expected hourly range: $22–$26, with pay determined by relevant skills and experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Achieve preset sales objectives.
- Develop a network and clientele.
- Capture client information and consistently update it to strengthen boutique relationships and drive sales.
- Maintain strong product knowledge across the collections.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Develop working knowledge of basic pen repair and after-sales service techniques.
- Maintain the boutique’s aesthetic quality.
- Open and close the boutique as required.
- Handle communication with the corporate office in management’s absence.
- Ensure loss-prevention procedures are followed according to protocol.
- Handle transfers in management’s absence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales; jewelry or high-end luxury product sales experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of customer-service needs and priorities, with the ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and earn trust and respect.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Able to stand on the sales floor for 90% of the workday.
- Able to reach for products stored in cabinets or on shelves.
- Able to bend to access products stored in cabinets.
- Able to use a ladder occasionally to reach products.
- Able to unpack and/or lift large boxes containing products.
