Montblanc seeks an Industrialization Technician in Scandicci, Italy to lead product industrialization and production transfer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead industrialization and transfer-to-production activities for new and revised products, ensuring manufacturability, quality and cost targets are met.
- Define production processes, tooling requirements and assembly instructions; organise and supervise pilot runs and validation trials.
- Collaborate with design, R&D, quality, procurement and external suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues and optimise components and processes for scale.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, control plans, work instructions, and production specifications; implement CAPA following pilot feedback.
- Perform process capability analyses, coordinate FMEA activities, and drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to reduce waste and cycle time.
- Support sourcing and supplier qualification for tooling, components and outsourced operations, including on-site supplier audits and process audits.
Qualifications
- Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or equivalent vocational training.
- Proven experience in product industrialization, production transfer or manufacturing engineering, preferably within luxury goods or precision components.
- Solid understanding of DFM principles, GD&T, process capability (Cp/Cpk) and FMEA methodology.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and to produce clear work instructions and process documentation.
- Strong project-management skills with the capacity to coordinate cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering or industrialization, with demonstrable involvement in product transfers, tooling definition and supplier coordination. Prior exposure to luxury or precision manufacturing preferred.
Education
Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Scandicci, Tuscany, Italy, with easy access to Florence.
