Montblanc seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations at its Dongtan store, overseeing staffing, scheduling, customer service, sales-floor performance, and team development. The role is full-time and includes customer engagement, performance monitoring, and contribution to appraisals.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations and ensure compliance with company policies and store management guidelines.
  • Manage staffing matters, plan shifts and rotas, and address customer issues and complaints to improve service and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate key product and service features and lead demonstration specialists to maximize customer value.
  • Guide teams in providing consistent product and service information in line with established messaging and positioning.
  • Oversee front-end, back-end, and sales-floor operations in a small- to medium-sized store to achieve sales goals.
  • Lead teams in recording and processing customer orders, and identify recurring customer issues to develop effective response strategies.
  • Develop and approve short- or medium-term work schedules, manage overtime, and allocate additional resources as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional products or services during customer interactions.
  • Set objectives for sales calls or meetings, use standard presentation materials, ask relevant questions to assess customer interest, and provide necessary information.
  • Implement customer contact plans to communicate product launches, engage potential customers in sales campaigns, and build new relationships.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints, resolving issues or referring complex cases as appropriate.
  • Recommend products or services suited to customer needs, explain selections, and invite purchases under standard terms.
  • Participate in assessment and development planning, training, and coaching to enhance personal capabilities.
  • Maintain professional accreditation and stay informed about relevant technology, regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, allocate work, review completion, and take corrective action to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Contribute to formal performance management and appraisals.

Qualifications

  • Short-cycle tertiary education.
  • Experience handling a range of situations and advising others.
  • Managerial experience supervising and directing people and resources to achieve specific results within limited timeframes.
