Moncler seeks a Senior Accountant in Seoul to support accounting, internal controls, audit and process and system improvements for the Korea region under the Finance Manager’s guidance, while managing operational risk related to financial activities. The role oversees accounting operations, reporting, close schedules, compliance and tax support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure backup processes are in place for every critical operation.
- Create new internal accounting policies and maintain existing policies.
- Monitor emerging technology to identify ways to automate accounting processes without compromising accuracy or accountability.
- Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for management and executive teams.
- Implement and monitor month-end, quarter-end and year-end close schedules.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger transactions generated by divisions and teams.
- Support compliance with GAAP and tax guidance, and build local processes and policies based on regional and global guidance.
- Audit financial information.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Five years of experience in Finance within a retail business.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in Korean and English.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
