Moët Hennessy USA Wine Commercial Director – Lead wine portfolio growth and strategy in New York with hybrid flexibility. $156K–$195K + bonus.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual commercial strategy for the Wine portfolio, driving depletion, distribution, and profitability objectives
- Lead commercial planning, market prioritization, and resource allocation across the Wine business
- Monitor business performance and identify opportunities and risks across markets, channels, customers, and brands
- Establish clear KPIs and accountability measures for the Wine Business Development Manager organisation and distributor partners
- Develop, coach, and lead a team of six Wine Business Development Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence
- Set clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans for direct reports
- Ensure consistent ways of working and best-practice sharing across markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor leadership, sales management teams, and key stakeholders
- Oversee national and local wine programming, A&P investments, activation plans, and execution standards
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Field Marketing on brand planning, consumer activations, and A&P allocations
- Evaluate programme effectiveness and return on investment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in sales and marketing within wine and spirits
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
- Strong analytical and business planning capabilities
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Deep understanding of distributor operations and route-to-market execution
- Strong sales experience in beverage alcohol
