Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the commercial business partner for the still‑wine portfolio across UK off‑trade and department store channels, defining and executing sales priorities to increase distribution, rate of sale and revenue contribution.
  • Identify and pursue strategic sales opportunities and manage commercial pitches alongside portfolio Account Managers to secure listings and favourable placements.
  • Drive premiumisation of the wine category by demonstrating the commercial relevance and credentials of premium wines to buyers and retail partners.
  • Design and deliver trade and consumer trainings, tastings and in‑store activations to accelerate rate of sale and brand visibility.
  • Manage a personal account base of wine‑led Specialist customers, overseeing P&L, contract negotiations and promotional activity to ensure renewal and growth.
  • Provide channel expertise and regular performance updates to Heads of Sales and the Wines brand team, influencing commercial initiatives and brand activations.
  • Represent Moët Hennessy wines externally at events and internally by promoting wine culture and education across the UK organisation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant commercial experience within the UK wine trade, with demonstrable success in the off‑trade channel.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the wine category and trade dynamics, with an established network of off‑trade buyers and decision makers.
  • Proven ability to manage P&L, lead contract negotiations and close listings with premium accounts.
  • Excellent presentation, training and interpersonal skills; confident public host and ambassador for premium wine brands.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert sales data into actionable commercial insights.
  • WSET Level 3 (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
