Moët Hennessy is seeking a Training Manager in Shanghai to develop and deliver brand and product education for internal teams and external audiences, and represent brands at events and tastings. The role also supports institutional sales opportunities and leads projects to enhance client experience and brand visibility; full-time, on-site office position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and adapt educational modules and training programs for relevant brands and products, including content, materials, guidelines, technical notes, and logistics.
- Deliver professional, impactful training programs for external audiences, including service and management staff at partner channels, media, and customers.
- Train promotion teams in on-trade and off-trade outlets, helping them apply their brand and product knowledge to influence end-consumer sales.
- Provide product and portfolio training to internal Moët Hennessy staff.
- Work with brand marketing teams and local field teams at PR events, educational or cultural dinners, and tasting sessions as an expert speaker; convey brand messages to target audiences and help institutional decision-makers build brand awareness.
- Identify opportunities to develop institutional sales or recruit high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), and provide insights to improve the effectiveness of marketing activations.
- Participate in and lead delegated projects, particularly those focused on enhancing client experience and brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above from a recognized tertiary institution; sommelier or wine-making training is preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written Mandarin and English.
- A relevant local dialect is a plus.
- At least 5 years’ experience in the wine and spirits business or a related sector.
- Direct wine sales and/or production experience with a local or international brand, or a distribution company, is a plus.
- Hypermarket and hotel sales, marketing, or communications experience is preferred.
- Solid experience in public training and speaking and seminar delivery.
- Experience designing and delivering wine-making or sommelier training programs.
- Excellent presentation and public-speaking skills.
- Excellent social etiquette.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Strong networking ability to influence purchase decisions.
- Good time and project management ability.
- Excellent knowledge of wines and spirits, including cognac, whisky, champagne, and red wine.
