Moët Hennessy is hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist in Kuala Lumpur on a permanent, full-time, hybrid basis. The role leads end-to-end payroll operations across 14 APAC countries, covering payroll and tax execution, leave systems, vendor and stakeholder management, compliance, continuous improvement and service-delivery projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive scalable, accurate and timely payroll operations across 14 APAC countries as a subject matter expert, ensuring business continuity, service-level delivery, current process documentation and effective issue de-escalation.
- Manage end-to-end payroll and tax execution, including payroll processing, salary and pension payments, tax filings, coordinating funding for payouts with Finance, and submitting payroll journal entries and related accruals and provisions to Finance on time.
- Update leave-system configuration to reflect policy changes.
- Review vendor service quality and identify improvements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Refine payroll processes in line with company guidelines to improve efficiency.
- Address audit and statutory-body queries while maintaining compliance.
- Participate in projects to optimize and evolve service delivery through automation and lean concepts, and to develop team skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- At least six years of relevant experience in APAC payroll operations.
- Strong payroll knowledge and proficiency in labour laws, payroll and tax regulations, particularly across Singapore, Malaysia and India.
- Strong analytical skills and a strategic approach to complex problem-solving.
- Entrepreneurial energy, innovative thinking, and the ability to navigate uncertainty and drive change.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster teamwork.
- Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Proactive, inquisitive approach to continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork.

- Familiarity with SuccessFactors, Concur and SAP is beneficial but not mandatory.
