Moët Hennessy USA seeks Senior Manager, Category Management in New York. Drive luxury wine & spirits strategy with data expertise. $130K–$163K + bonus.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert in Category Leadership selling strategies and establish business relationships with internal and external stakeholders across sectors
- Provide strategic brand and category direction to key internal stakeholders, reflecting retailer opportunities and driving value through forward-looking insights
- Prepare and deliver category-oriented presentations to customers that emphasize the strategic importance of premium wines and spirits and their consumer segments
- Develop actionable business insights identifying shopper affinities and behavioural opportunities supporting retail activation and annual plan development
- Collaborate with retailers on category, shopper, and consumer opportunities while aligning to Moët Hennessy's distribution, promotion, pricing, and shelving objectives
- Track industry, category, and Moët Hennessy performance via sales reporting, retail price and distribution tracking, post-event analysis, and shelf standards execution
- Develop executive recaps of scorecard learnings with key insights and recommended actions for stakeholders
- Determine retailer opportunity gaps and volume/profit potential to Moët Hennessy and relevant categories
- Develop retail store clustering assortment solutions for the Moët Hennessy portfolio
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams on the Insights into Action Model, innovation commercialization, and launch materials development
- Partner with Advanced Analytics to develop tools and reports cascading retailer-specific and syndicated data across regions
- Lead the Category Insights Engine to scale learnings and drive value-based selling beyond National Accounts
- Define national shelf standards execution benchmarks and leverage AI retail execution optimization tools
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Category Management or similar analytical function experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Analytical expertise extracting scalable insights from complex data sets
- Proven ability to build compelling data-driven selling stories and communicate insights to diverse audiences
- Strong knowledge of syndicated data platforms (Nielsen, Numerator, Panel, Retailer Gateways, Circana)
- Very strong technical proficiency with Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, macros, large data management, data linking, graphing, automation)
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and consistently deliver to deadlines
- Self-starter mentality with proactive, independent, and creative thinking
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of Category Management or equivalent analytical function experience required. Preferred experience includes category captaincy, beverage alcohol industry expertise (particularly wines and spirits), Power BI/Qlik/Tableau administration, or third-party distributor/broker engagement.
Education
Bachelor's degree required; relevant industry experience preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 130,000 to USD 163,000 per annum.
