Moët Hennessy seeks a Revenue Accountant in Sydney, Australia for a 12‑month temporary, hybrid role responsible for rebate, FTT and VISTEX accounting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end rebate and Free Trade Terms (FTT) accounting: capture, settlement processing, reporting and reconciliation for Australia and New Zealand accounts.
- Serve as the Finance function’s subject‑matter expert on rebate accounting, managing the VISTEX system and month‑end close activities related to rebates and FTT.
- Calculate rebate accruals from customer contracts, compute entitlements and perform thorough due diligence on rebate/FTT payment requests.
- Process rebate settlements for NKA accounts (AU and NZ) and maintain individual rebate/FTT tracking and balance reconciliations.
- Reconcile and agree rebate balances with Sales and BPC teams; provide timely rebate data to BPC and Sales for commercial reviews.
- Partner closely with BPC, Sales and Logistics on customer agreement management, wholesaler real deals and P&L reporting across MHA.
- Provide cross‑functional support in NSI, Inventory/COGS and Cost of Selling (distribution costs, duties/excise) functional areas.
- Maintain systems and process documentation; continuously review, streamline and document procedures to improve controls and efficiency.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and other tasks assigned by management consistent with the role.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or retail finance, or equivalent public practice exposure to these sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting; CPA/CA qualification highly desirable.
- Proven experience with rebate accounting, accruals, inventory/COGS accounting and month‑end close processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Sales, BPC and logistics teams.
- Demonstrable integrity, attention to detail, a systematic approach and the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.

Experience
Minimum three years of progressive finance experience within fast‑moving consumer goods, manufacturing, distribution, retail or in an accounting firm serving these sectors.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
