Moët Hennessy Sydney seeks a Revenue Accountant (12-month temporary) to manage rebate, VISTEX and SAP-driven sales & inventory accounting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own rebate and FTT accounting lifecycle: capture, settlement, reporting and reconciliation for Australia and New Zealand.
- Act as the Finance functional expert for rebate accounting and manage the VISTEX system, including month-end close activities for rebate and FTT.
- Calculate rebate accruals and entitlement computations based on customer contracts and perform rigorous due-diligence on rebate/FTT payment requests.
- Process rebate settlements for NKA accounts (AU and NZ) and maintain individual rebate/FTT tracking.
- Reconcile balances and review agreements with Sales and the BPC team; provide rebate data for commercial reviews and decision-making.
- Partner closely with BPC, logistics and Sales on NSI, inventory/COGS, cost of selling (distribution costs, duties/excise) and wholesale deal reporting.
- Use claim and pricing data to inform accrual strategy and act as a strategic finance partner to Sales and BPC.
- Maintain and improve systems and process documentation; drive efficiencies in VISTEX utilisation and related procedures.
- Support ad hoc projects and other tasks assigned by management in line with role responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum three years' relevant accounting experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, retail or public accounting serving such industries.
- Proven experience with rebate accounting, inventory/COGS and cost of sales accounting.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to partner across commercial, logistics and finance teams.
- Native or bilingual English.

Minimum three years' relevant experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, manufacturing, distribution, retail or within an accounting practice servicing these industries; experience in costing/manufacturing is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting; CPA/CA preferred.
