National Account Manager – National Key Independents at Moët Hennessy, Sydney. Lead wholesale channel strategy and drive brand growth across Australia's independent specialist retailers.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive the continuous implementation of agreed brand strategies derived from Brand Plans through comprehensive and carefully formulated sales actions, ensuring maximum focus on core brands across pricing, distribution, trade stock levels, merchandising, and promotions
  • Maximize retail pricing across all core brands in relation to agreed objectives and competitive positioning strategies
  • Ensure appropriate coverage of all current and potential key accounts while identifying opportunities to broaden distribution and develop new sales opportunities within the independent specialist channel
  • Collaborate with line management to improve promotion effectiveness and maximize operational efficiencies
  • Review business opportunities for core and innovation brands in consultation with the channel team, developing specific recommendations and action plans to gain market share through new distribution points
  • Accelerate adoption of digital technologies, platforms, and touchpoints across all relevant categories, extending shopper marketing capabilities to eCommerce and digital channels
  • Maintain accurate sales management information systems with up-to-date records, trading terms, and statistics to ensure professional account management and competitive advantage
  • Conduct regular analysis of channel data, call cycles, frequency, and related information to inform strategic decisions
  • Maintain effective and smooth relationships with key customers to optimize operational effectiveness, business performance, and goodwill
  • Ensure excellent relationships with main decision-makers across national head offices, state offices, and individual outlets of key account customers

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Champagne, wines, and spirits industry
  • Strong understanding of the off-premise, specialist, and wholesale business models
  • Thorough understanding of the Australian liquor industry and regulatory environment
  • High level of commercial awareness with demonstrated instinct for identifying and exploiting profit opportunities
  • Strong networking, influencing, and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of liquor consumption trends, habits, and preferences of Australian consumers
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to adjust messaging based on audience
  • Excellent proven sales skills with demonstrated track record in account management

Experience

Education

Comprehensive knowledge of the Champagne, wines, and spirits industry, combined with thorough understanding of the Australian liquor industry and off-premise business channels.
