Role & Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise master data policies, standards, roles and end‑to‑end governance processes across core business domains.
• Establish and operationalise master data creation, maintenance, approval and stewardship practices to ensure control, ownership and accountability.
• Monitor master data quality, diagnose root causes of issues and drive corrective actions with data owners and functional teams.
• Manage master data definitions, hierarchies, taxonomies and attributes to secure consistency across systems and reporting.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to align master data processes with enterprise systems, supporting integrations, automation and change delivery.
• Define quality rules, KPIs and controls to support internal compliance and auditability, and maintain documentation of standards and processes.
• Promote best practices through training, governance awareness and continuous improvement initiatives; act as the primary SME on master data impacts for projects and process changes.
• Influence cross‑functional stakeholders to secure adoption of governance models and sustain long‑term data ownership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with 10–15 years preferred, with progressive responsibility in master data management or data governance.
• Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise MDM frameworks, data stewardship models and governance processes.
• Demonstrated experience supporting master data requirements in enterprise systems and in large organisational change initiatives.
• Strong ability to communicate standards, influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional alignment.
• Experience defining data quality metrics, controls and remediation programs to satisfy audit and regulatory expectations.
• High level of discretion and experience handling confidential business information.

Skills

Experience

10 to 15 years of relevant experience in master data management, data governance or closely related roles within complex, matrixed organisations; experience in enterprise system projects and cross‑functional stakeholder engagement is essential.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration or a related discipline; a master's degree or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
