Moët Hennessy seeks a Market Manager in Casablanca, Morocco to lead the distributor network and drive commercial growth for its wines & spirits portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the annual commercial plan for Morocco, using market insights (IWSR, sales data, benchmarking) to segment opportunities, set financial targets and manage the market P&L.
  • Lead and manage third‑party distributors and key wholesale accounts to ensure robust product distribution, availability and execution of promotional campaigns and JBP (Joint Business Plans).
  • Develop and execute proactive business development strategies, including prospecting, upselling/cross‑selling premium lines and building long‑term partnerships to grow rate of sale and market share.
  • Own commercial operations including forecasting, order submission, shipment coordination with supply chain, contract management and mitigation of operational risks (including brand protection issues).
  • Design and monitor distributor and account sales plans, pricing recommendations and market scorecards; track performance against targets and optimise route‑to‑consumer execution.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Regional Marketing to deploy customer activations, in‑market tools and Maison visits; evaluate ROI and effectiveness of trade and consumer programs.
  • Develop distributors, wholesalers and strategic customers into brand ambassadors through training, engagement and persuasive product storytelling.
  • Report regularly to regional stakeholders on market performance, risks and opportunities; participate in cross‑functional projects to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
  • Travel extensively across the market (approximately 50%) and work flexible hours when required to support trade activity and key events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international relations or related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an international sales or commercial role; prior experience as a sales or market manager and managing distributors is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience across global, regional and domestic channels with premium / on‑ and off‑trade customers and wholesalers.
  • Fluent English and French; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation skills, commercial and financial acumen, and proven ability to manage budgets and P&L.
  • Excellent presentation skills, organisational rigour, attention to detail and resilience under pressure.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work outside standard hours as required.

Experience
