Role & Responsibilities
- Support vineyard sampling for laboratory analysis prior to and during harvest.
- Perform physical and chemical analyses of grapes, must and wine to assess ripeness and readiness for harvest and bottling.
- Record, track and report analytical results by parcel and lot, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
- Assist in nutrient additions and monitor conditions in fermentation tanks under the supervision of the enologist.
- Supervise and follow malolactic fermentations in coordination with the technical department.
- Contribute to organoleptic monitoring of ferments and finished wines, participating in sensory evaluations.
- Take part in small-scale micro‑vinification and R&D tasks to support technical development.
- Maintain traceability through the winery management information system and ensure proper laboratory record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Higher education degree in Enology, Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Working knowledge of laboratory sampling protocols and basic wine analytical methods.
- Spanish language proficiency required for daily operations and reporting.
- Prior experience in harvest operations and winery laboratory work preferred.
- Attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to work on-site in a cellar environment during intense harvest periods.
