Moët Hennessy Wine Estates (Bodega Numanthia) in Valdefinjas, Spain seeks a Laboratory Technician (Enology) for a temporary on-site contract (Aug–Oct 2026).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collect grape samples in the vineyard and prepare them for laboratory analysis
  • Perform physical and chemical analyses of grapes and musts (Brix, acidity, pH, etc.)
  • Record, track and report analytical results by parcel and lot to ensure traceability
  • Support nutrient additions and monitor fermentations in coordination with the technical team
  • Supervise and record malolactic fermentation progress alongside technical managers
  • Participate in organoleptic (sensory) evaluation of fermentations and finished wines
  • Conduct micro-vinification trials and contribute to R&D workstreams
  • Maintain accurate records in the winery management information system to ensure traceability

Qualifications

  • Higher education in Enology/Oenology, Viticulture, Chemistry or a closely related discipline
  • Spanish language proficiency (working fluency)
  • Practical experience in harvest operations and laboratory analyses preferred
  • Availability for an on-site, seasonal contract from mid‑August to late October 2026
  • Attention to detail, good record‑keeping and capacity to work in a production environment
