Moët Hennessy seeks a Junior Data Engineer apprentice in Epernay, France — 1–2 year alternance starting Sep 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Integrate and model data from multiple functional domains (vineyard, oenology, production, support functions, sales) into the company data platform (datalake and datawarehouse).
- Design and implement data models in accordance with Group Data standards and governance.
- Develop data pipelines and ingestion flows using the enterprise stack (GCP Big Query, Data Galaxy).
- Contribute to the development and prototyping of AI / machine learning use cases.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and coach users towards self-service BI adoption.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Lead Champagne, IT Champagne team and business users within an agile squad framework.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline (work-study / alternance eligible).
- Solid understanding of core data concepts: integration, modelling and reporting.
- Familiarity with data integration techniques (APIs, SQL) and relational databases.
- Practical interest or foundational knowledge in machine learning and AI.
- Good command of English for oral and written technical communication.
- Strong team orientation, synthesis skills, autonomy, proactivity and good interpersonal and written communication abilities.

Entry-level / beginner. Suitable for students with academic projects, internships or initial practical exposure to data engineering; no extensive professional experience required.
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field (eligible for alternance/work-study).
